Explore Okanagan Lake

Insider spots, seasonal tips, and the water we love most.

Okanagan Lake offers some of the most beautiful boating in British Columbia. From our West Kelowna launch point, you can reach calm coves for swimming, popular wakesurf zones, scenic islands, and wide-open stretches ideal for cruising. Our team knows the lake intimately and loves sharing insider tips — family-friendly beaches, great fishing spots (remember your fishing licence), and quiet corners many visitors miss.

Top family-friendly spots

Calm swim coves on the west side of the lake are perfect for kids — think Gellatly Bay, Bear Creek, and the sandy stretches just north of the bridge.

Best areas for wakesurfing & tubing

Head to the wider, deeper water south of the bridge for glass-morning wake
sessions. Early mornings and evenings are typically calmest.

Island hopping & scenic cruises

Cruise past Rattlesnake Island, drop anchor in a quiet cove, and enjoy the
mountain views that make the Okanagan famous.

Seasonal recommendations

July/August are peak — book early. Shoulder-season (June and September) means quieter water, warm weather, and easier launch times.
